Biographical Sketch of Principal
PATRICIA L. CURREY, CFP®, CEBS
Pat
created Currey Financial Consulting, LLC -- a financial planning and investment
management firm – in 1999. She
began work in the Trust field in 1979; her career has involved long-term
associations with several large regional banks.
Career assignments have included departmental management, account
administration, investment management, and business development in both Personal
Trust and Institutional Trust environments.
Pat has earned the designation of Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS),
through the joint program sponsored by the Wharton School of the University of
Pennsylvania and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Pat graduated from the CFP® Program at the College for
Financial Planning (Denver, Colorado), and earned the Certified Financial Planner™ designation through
comprehensive testing. She also has earned a BS degree in Business
Administration from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and a Master of General
Administration, Financial Management Track, from University College of the
University of Maryland (College Park, Maryland).
She is a Registered Investment Adviser with the State of Maryland.
Pat is an active member
of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, the
Financial Planning Association (FPA), and the National Association of Personal
Financial Advisors (NAPFA). She is
involved with the Planned Gifts Committee of the Memorial Hospital Foundation
(Easton, Maryland), and the Charitable Gift Planning Advisory Committee of the
Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation (Annapolis, Maryland).
Pat serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Indian Creek
School (Crownsville, Maryland) and is a member of their Finance Committee.
CFP®
and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM
are marks owned by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.
These marks are awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP
Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
